end of a great influence

yes its Paramore. it is fficial that the band is coming to a split. The band paramore will still exist but without the Ferro brothers. How tragic. So disappointed in their disicion. I don't think any of their fans agree. but its their life right

Sore arm

The one thing I can't stand after a tennis game is the sore arm. Now I'm practically writing with my right hand(cause I'm a left handed player)….. So sore. Will blog later when both my hands can be used properly.

Something to share…

Wikileaks. It has been a booming topic for the press for several days now and I predict it will still go on and on even after December. I have not gone through the website in detail just scanned through but there are some interesting things that I may point out. Maybe not cause it's a sensitive case. Just log on to the webbie and read for yourself. Good GK.

on the other hand, my birthday was awesome

here, we stay waiting for about 30 mins

thanks to Denise for uploading the pictures. Click her name to see more pictures.

sweet and sour weekend

Yes it’s the holidays and I am now free to do what I wish without worrying about datelines. It is so impossible to think straight during the exam weeks. I'm back at home from the two days stay at one of the prestigious hotel in Jerudong. I celebrated my 19th birthday there and it was awesome. Brought along my girlfriends. My party was awesome accept some staffs were absolutely unbelievably unprofessional towards handling their guest, me. Here are the things that happened:

12.00 pm : arrived
12.30 pm : was at the coffee house with my gfs. Food was not as expected, have tasted better elsewhere but not bad. However there were dishes I never dreamt I would taste ever. For example its called the mixed veggie with blueberry sauce, I think, it tasted like over boiled(wilted/soggy) veggies mixed together with milk, butter and blueberry(all blended). Lactose and citric acid DO NOT go together. It was just NASTY.
02.00 pm : Went to cinema with gfs and watched Rapunzel. Recommend everyone to watch this. Voiced by mandy moore and the lead actor in chuck. Didn’t knew he had a nice voice. So walt disney-ish.
03.40 pm : movie finished. And I asked for a buggy to send my friends and I to the country club.
04.20 pm : buggy still had not shown up
04.30 pm : with my 4 inch heels, me, the hotel's guest had to WALK all the way to the main building. This was in the late afternoon when the sun is shinning so brightly and it was terribly HOT! And btw the buggy did not show up at the cinema. We took a buggy from the main building.
04.40 pm : show up at the country club and asked if there was an empty lane for bowling. The receptionist at the "so called" posh club went on the phone and the conversation in front of me, the hotel guest, goes like this…. (of course idk what was the other person on the other line was saying)

"helo? Ada lane kusong sana?"….
"bah jangan tah ko kan mentel di sini ani, ada urang kan main ne"

…. (sometime after she put the phone down) " if labih 4 urg sebilik kami charge pulang tu" …. And we had 2 rooms. My gfs and I were 6 people altogether.

….and I was like…. OMG unbelievable. Not to mention unprofessional. I have nothing against speaking malay for I am a malay it just that the tone and approach makes it sound so wrong. Its lucky I don’t have guests from overseas or not it would have been embarrassing because that is not how we here behave.
I've been to this place so many times and not even once the receptionist was as this unprofessional. And the last part about the charging… WHY OH WHY would she bring up that in front of my guests. She should have dealt it with me and only me not in front my guests. And guess what else, while waiting for the buggy service to take me back, one of the staff was clipping his nails at the front entrance.

*my friends and I the parted and I went back to my room

06.00 pm : asked for and extra bed cause my brother is too huge to share beds with me and too noisy when sleeping next to grandma. I called for the service. I had been staying in different hotels since I can remember NEVER the conversation goes like this….

Room Service: good evening blablabla
Me: I would like an extra bed
RS : are u aware that it will be charged?>>>> WTH dude?
Me: of course.

I know its not a big deal to point this out but why is it when people ask for their service they must mention the price first? Its not that they can't charge it to our room or its not that we want to runaway…. And of course the extra bed comes with NO pillow. Maybe they expect us to bring our own cause I called for an extra pillow like a gazillion times.

11.00 pm : went for moviethe social network. So awesome that movie.
01.00 am : had to asked my parents who were sleeping at that time to call the buggy service to pick us up because the buggy service for idk what reason would not stop by and pick guests up from the cinema.

The second day was okay because we just slept in the room because we were too exhausted. All the facilities are located miles away from our room (in the main building) and when we reached there we were too exhausted to do what we wanted. Waiting for a buggy service is the killer. Fades away our holiday mood. Too many guests but shortage of staff, scratch that, trained staff.

The only thing I enjoyed during this holiday was the architecture, my cake and the coffee house staffs. The others, you tell me. I'm still exhausted by the trip.

Just needed to be said

These few days have been stressful to the max for me. I turn to music for stressful times like this. I have to do something and I can't sit down because I'll think about my future and will think what if I failed or something equivalent happened to me. It would me be dreadful.

perfect BGIC experiance

on the 12th until the 15th of March I entered this thing called Borneo Global Issues Conference (BGIC). Little did I know that this BGIC would make me a better yet intuitive person in many ways. To anyone who is reading this post and have the chance to participate, I advise you to JOIN!!

This conference is held by International School Brunei(ISB) every year for the past eight years if not mistaken. Students from all over Asia (east and west M'sia, Thailand, Indonesia, Qatar), Govt. and non govt. schools in Brunei will assemble to discuss about world issue. It is kind of a MUN (model united nations). Every delegate is given a country to represent and WILL speak for the country itself.

During the conference there were so many unforgettable tenacities. There were laughter, anger, fear and lots of mixed feelings in the hall at once.

I was given the country Jamaica. *proud to be*

I was to discuss about the environment as I was in the environment forum. The forum had very extroverted chair persons. There were two actually.

Personally I gained a heap wait scratch that.. MASSIVE amount of experience from public speaking, communicating with others from other parts of the world down to answering questions spontaneously. However, being part of a political conference made me observe how the world of politics role. I usually hear phrases like "politicians are very dirty people" but now I really know what the phrase means. I know how politicians work together and islanise(is that even a word??) other delegated. Even it is just a MUN but the human behavior is still the same. people will be people.

At the end of the conference we celebrated the closing ceremony at the Baze in Empire hotel.

IT WAS A BLAST!! THE SICKEST PARTY EVER!!!!

Also I got to meet a lot of friends from all around Asia. That is one of the best ways to share my experience. If I think of something else, I'll blog more.

I'm in BGIC!!!

This is basically a model conference of the world General Assembly.

I got the country Jamaica. Generally what we have to is research about our country and we are also given a topic to resolute on. So on the actual day we debate our topic.

this is hosted by the International School Brunei. everything is really very formal. i like that they have tons of rules. Brings the delegates down.

It would be held on the 12th to 15th of march 2010. Delegates from overseas are also coming. This is one of the toughest challenge in my teen era. I will do it with full confidence and personality. =)

My only time for blogging now is very limited so I don't have much time for leisure nowadays.

this came random

My brother told me that a friend of his blog(as in the action blogging) to get a grade A1 in his exam. I don't really buy it but its a good to try.

*on the phone with grandma's maid*

As I was saying, I'll give it a shot.

What is my progress this year?... non detectable yet but will be working on that.

So far my life in upper 6 has been purely exhausting. Being the prefect body has not let the exhaustion ease.

I'll describe my week:

MONDAY:
  1. 5 hours of school (6-12)
  2. + extra classes
  3. extra tutorial (night)
TUESDAY
  1. 5 Hours of school (6-12)
  2. extra class
  3. extra tutorial back to KB
  4. homework time
WEDNESDAY:
  1. same as Monday
...blabla same thing daily NO EXCEPTIONS FOR FRIDAY AND SUNDAY!!

Sometimes I ask myself AM I DIGGING MY OWN GRAVE HERE?

all the thing I included above doesn't include extra curriculum work, student body meetings, BGIC research, extra events i.e National day. I am already tired by looking at this blog post. What I've written may sound like a packed schedule but about 600 students in my school is feeling the same way. So don't take this as a complaint.
